About Us


Who -

Guardian Transit was initially formed to provide in-house freight services to Pax Industries, Inc. a 3PL serving the warehousing, packaging, and transloading needs in the plastics industry since 1992.


Guardian Transit's Managing Member is Michael Nappi. Michael is also President/CEO of Pax. As part of Pax, Michael has been providing logistics solutions to the plastics industry since 2004 and since 2023 as part of Guardian Transit.

All to often, trucking starts with an opaqueness that affects the entire operation. Driver pay, for example, is a bit of a mess. Carriers try to strike this delicate balance of directly tying driver pay to revenue generated per load to keep costs manageable, while incentivizing drivers so the pay is attractive. This often ends in driver retention failure because the promoted pay is unrealistic and feels like a bait and switch.


While safety for both drivers and the public is paramount, and is a major focus in the trucking industry, we feel linking driver pay to miles often provides the unintended consequence of getting drivers to push beyond safe limits to attain that carrot of higher pay.
